Winda Woppa, Hawks Nest. The second jewel in Australia's crown.
You will find it just two hours drive north of Sydney.
A beautiful beach in the perfect location to catch the NE sea-breeze as well as the South Easterlies that blast through. Dolphins playing in the balmy waters off Winda Woppa and Jimmy's beach. Several kite surfers blast past with whoops of delight as they catch air at the end of their reach.
Our group of windsurfers head off on a port tack towards the heads and the steady 18 knot sea-breeze in the middle of the bay. After 5 hours of blasting it's back to the guys who run "chaletbreeze.com" for a slap-up BBQ and a few cold ones whilst we entertain each other with tales of planing carve-gybes and forward loops. And tomorrow... more of the same.

Getting There: The journey from the Freeway at Hornsby to Tea Gardens is 196 Kms and takes approximately two hours.

Take the Freeway North towards Newcastle, then head for Taree, follow the signs for Raymond Terrace, you will pass the signs for Nelson Bay and drive through Karuah (pre bypass), stay on the road until you see the signs for Tea Gardens on your right.
